Over The Weekend

Hello everybody! Good times this weekend ya'll! My good friend Amber invited us to check out The Noble Thiefs in concert. They're my new favorite ;) Their music is a mix between 50's doo wop and ska, rock...best I can explain it lol. They put on such an energetic show that everybody was up dancing. Their stage voice is even enticing, kinda reminds me of the way Christina Aguilera or Beyonce would work up their audience. You know, that soulful, boisterous, sassy voice. "Everybody, say hellooo to Jonathan on the trombone!" ~ "This song...goes out to all the wonderful ladies in the audience tonight!"

Ain't he cute?! Say hi to baby Anders! I notice whenever I go to parties I don't start taking pictures until the bitter end. Well at least it's something right? I went to my friend, Alexis, baby shower. It was such a cute shower, with great food and people. Seeing all the momma's and cute babies there makes me want to have a little caramel bundle of cuteness of my own!

Over the weekend

My bad! This was actually my weekend 2 weekends ago but imma still share it. With the boy outta town for the week I have been having me some quality time with my momma and sis. On Friday me and my baby sis got the munches and took a late night drive down to Carlos and Murphy's restaurant for a heaping plate of hot, cheesy, spicy nachos. Let me tell you! We did not walk away unsatisfied. Now I did capture this moment on film. But where are these pictures?! Lord only knows.

On Saturday a few friends and I attended the last sandbox magazine party. There were so many intriguing faces in the crowd and they were dressed to impress! My outfit definitely did not bring it. But other then the way I was dressed the party turned out to be good times! The music was too good. It's quite refreshing to hear some fun, old school beats like MJ, Cool and the gang, and Deee-Lite.
There was also performances from this gal here Flo, she performed a live show which was soo good. Check out that hair!
Everybody look! It's Raezavel from cheapthrills (such a blurry pic lol)
Another live performance from The Treble
We kinda look like twins! Love it lol

On the weekend

Hello all! So it's no secret that the Japanese community here in Winnipeg is, well...not all that big. Which makes the boy really sad :( because he never gets to use his Japanese speaking skills (I'll learn one day!) A lot of the Japanese restaurants here are owned by either Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese...pretty much any other race but Japanese. So I was determined to find my man some Japanese folks. Thanks to good ole Google I found me Edohei, a Japanese restaurant with a Japanese chef ;). The boy was stoked when he found out that the people working there were all from the same place he served his mission (small world) And boy did he ever talk up a storm, let me tell you! He would have talked all night, I had to pry him outta there. Oh and the food was delish! 7 out of 10.
After that we headed to Welcome Out Week at Institute. And I got into one nasty, stank, ripped up sumo suit and squared head to head with Sherri. Don't let the photo fool you. She whooped my behind!

My eventful weekend.

Hello everyone. Meet Stef. Does she look familiar? She should....

She's Daniel's baby sister Stef and she turned 23 over the weekend. She spent her birthday inviting all her close friends to dinner and a movie. First we all went to Don Pedro's, this delicious Mexican restaurant. Then the rest of the crew then headed off to the movie's to watch Breaking Dawn. But not this chick....no sir. Me and my friend Sherri from sherriamour headed to Juss Jazz. A quaint little jazz joint in downtown Winnipeg. We were quite thrilled to hear the smooth vocals of Alie Clark and the After Hours Band. They were reeally good. I look forward to go again and hear the other featuring bands.
The next evening it was my friend Kelsuma's 22 birthday. We had dinner at Sydney's it was quite the ritzy restaurant.  A little too ritzy if you ask me. Then went out dancing. All in all it was a good night.
Happy Birthday Girlie's!

This Fellow

Hi There! I just realized that I haven't introduced you to the boy. Everyone say hello to my beloved husband, Daniel.  ^-^
I'm kinda in love ♥

Early this morning I had to rush him to the hospital because he was experiencing severe lower back pain and throwing up. (I hate to see him in pain) The good people at St.Boniface hospital took him in, gave him a couple T3's and suited him up in the fanciest blue frock they had, I took a few photos but I'm sure Daniel wouldn't be too pleased if I showed the world the little peek-a-boo slit in the back of his gown. The sweet nurse inserted thee biggest IV needle I have ever seen into his arm. The color rushed from his rosy cheeks and he nearly passed out when that nurse started to draw his blood. He then went in for a CT scan of his stomach. After a couple of hours of waiting to hear the results of the x-ray the Doc came in and informed us that Daniel had a few kidney stones. kidney stone is a solid mass made up of tiny crystals. It forms in the kidney and you feel the surge of the pain when it passes from your kidney to your bladder. Ouch, poor boy :(. Turns out Daniel got them nasty suckers a couple of years back when he was serving his mission in Sapporo, Japan. I hope he never gets them nasty heffa's again.

I reconnected with old friends, we went to the spa for a full head to toe treatment, had ourselves a therapeutic shopping session, ooh and ahhed over adorable baby Kianna, and then hit the town for a night of dancing. All in all, we had ourselves quite the weekend.
